Upon admission to Intensive Specialty, patients experiencing severe cardiac and respiratory issues are often connected to ventilators to help with breathing. Under the direction of Pulmonologists and Cardiologists, our Respiratory Therapists can spend many hours per week with each patient until they are strong enough to be weaned off the ventilator and can breathe on their own.
